I was cleaning up after lifegroup this evening and realized that every time I do so, I am focused on getting the kitchen and the sitting room cleaned and not as focused on enjoying people, hanging out with them, etc. I've not had the best attitude; actually, I've been a bit of a grump lately. Tonight was a much better night, thankfully, but as I was milling about clumps of people who were talking, picking up cups and songsheets, I heard a voice whisper to me:
"You don't have to be a Martha."
One of my giftings is hospitality, but definitely I can take some time to enjoy people, because God wants me to do that over grumping over dishes anyday.
